2002:
Got up at 4 AM and it is raining SO hard out
there. I have never been in Kona where it has
rained so hard so many days during race week. I
definitely think it has something to do with
this race not taking place on the full moon. My
saddle and aero bars are going to be drenched.
I need to find some chain lube for my chain
because that sucker isn’t going to have any oil
left on it. It is ugly out there. At least it
is a warm rain.
I had two cans of Boost Plus for breakfast and
a couple of cups of strong Kona coffee.
We are getting in the car for the drive to the
Pier at 5:15 AM.
The plan is to do a 15-minute jog at 6AM and
then listen to some good tunes until 6:45 AM
then get in the water for my swim warm up.
The rain is coming down even harder now!!!!
